About Event

The flashing neon of the years 1980-89 still appears brightly in the rear view mirror of our rusting Austin Metro 35 years later, the 80s having proven to be one of the longest decades in history, with a deep influence over swathes of our contemporary culture. Likewise, NowHam’s selection of Credible 80s is a long-standing feature at 1000 Trades, having been a monthly feature since the very beginning.
The time has now come for a slight adjustment of our rear view mirror, and we’re excited to announce an expansion of the night to cover the sounds that influenced our synthesizer savants and post punk personalities, as well as what followed in their wake. The new night, NowHam+, will retain the traditional mix of old favourite and hidden gems ’80-’81 as its beating heart, but we’ll be giving our DJs the opportunity to stretch their legs out on nearby pastures.
