Napkins at the ready, because in December chef-in-residency Niki Astley is turning the chicken game up to eleven.

As part of a refreshed menu, Salt & Earth are delivering a masterclass in fried chicken as an antidote to the torrent of turkey-centric plates that mark the festive month.

All made Japanese-style, Niki and co will be covering bases such as Korean red pepper sauce, hibiscus salted, and the Salt & Earth staple honeyed soy and lemon curd. Throw the sensational¬†gau bao Chinese steamed bun into the mix and consider your chicken fix satisfied. We’ll take one of everything.

Also being showcased will be a baja battered tofu with peanut salsa, a winter-warming broth and sexy sides like kimchi, pickled mooli and baby gem with miso mayonnaise and brazil nut crumble, amongst others.
