Our kitchen resident for July sees a cornucopia of Italian small plates from the people behind El Borracho, previousFullSizeRender[2]ly of this parish and recent triumphant winners of ‘Best Spanish Restaurant’ for a second year in a row. Mediterranean delights aplenty including Wild Garlic Gnocchi, Madeira and Balsamic Glazed Pork Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Mash, and of course the freshest Bruschette and Insalata Caprese.

The outcharlie@adams_no logofit is fronted by Charlie Leggett, an up-and-coming Birmingham chef who has honed his craft in top restaurants such as The Wilderness and Adams, as well as El Borracho itself. With links to the highest quality producers in Italy and sourcing fresh ingredients from local foodie markets Casa di Carlo will keep your taste buds excited throughout July until our next kitchen resident arrives on the 31st.

And on Thursday 13 July join us for an evening experience of Italy in the Jewellery Quarter with a casual and relaxed dining experience upstairs at 1000 Trades featuring a special five course tasting menu prepared by ‘Carlo’ and friends, together with and a panoply of paired Italian fine wines chosen by Connolly’s Wine Merchants. Chris CFullSizeRender[1]onnolly will be on hand to guide us through the wines expertly matched with food from up-and-coming chef Charlie Leggett. After dinner we’ll be joined by talented guitarist Francisco ‘Paco’ Bueno, who will be performing some Italian standards and classics to round off a memorable evening. Tickets are £35 per head and available from Eventbrite (or book at the bar).FullSizeRender
