Winter is coming, Birmingham.

It’s about that time to wrap up warm, park yourself in front of our legendary fire, and sink a pint of the finest craft beer. The only thing missing from the perfect remedy to the seasonal blues? A hearty meal.

Ship loads of flavour, full to the brim, and topped with a pastry crust. Ticking all your hunger boxes? Good, because November sees genius pie-connoisseurs Pietanic return to 1000 Trades to deliver all of the above.

Pietanic has been sailing on a wave of rave reviews for three years now from street food festivals, to short-term popups and longer kitchen residencies. It all started with a borrowed ice-cream van, help from generous pals, and a pitch at Digbeth Dining Club. After a successful maiden voyage they’ve not stopped since.

There’s plenty to sink your teeth into from this lot. The menu features the signature Bacon Cheeseburger Pie from which Pietanic has built it’s reputation for delicious crusty creations, and also brings back the exclusive Game & Titanic Plum Porter from the last time they anchored on Frederick Street. Eat either pie with a Frazzles Scotch Egg on the side to really roll back the years.

That’s not all! Sink your hearty dinner down with a pint from the people behind the 2015 Champion Beer of Britain, as the award-winning Titanic Brewery take over the taps for a week from 13th November. Time to hit the pie deck.
